Ariadna Kryazheva

Ariadna is a violinist, vocalist, composer and an AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher.
Born and raised in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, Ariadna studied violin from the age five and piano from the age seven at the Glazunov School of Music. After moving to the US in 2004, Ariadna has immersed herself in jazz music and subsequently received a full scholarship and graduated from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, cum laude, with a dual Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Violin and Jazz Voice Performance.
After years of classical training, Ariadna was enticed and influenced by contemporary jazz composers and began writing her own music. In 2011 the University of Denver awarded her a grant to record her debut album of original jazz art songs titled Opaque Voices. DU is also where she joined creative forces with pianist David Harewood in a collaboration now called Whisper Knot.
In January of 2014 David and Ariadna released another album of original music in Koszalin, Poland, and continue to perform, compose, and record together.
