Joseph Bush is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music. While at UCONN he studied with Irma Vallecillo, accompanied the women’s choir, and performed a senior recital last April. Over the summer Joe took part in the Wendell P. Whalum recital series at the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference. In December 2015 he debuted with the South bend symphony along side his teacher Alexander Toradze playing the first movement of Prokofiev's 3rd Piano concerto. He recently graduated from Indiana University with his masters in piano performance and is looking to continue to grow as both a musician and teacher. His teaching philosophy is based on the idea that an interest in, and love for music will help develop the necessary skills to create it.
