Joseph is a pianist, composer, and educator. His love and passion for music started when he saw his grandfather play for their family at gatherings. He began his musical journey when he started taking private classical lessons from Margaret Banacos, who instilled patience, feeling, and intuitiveness in his playing style. Once he began college, many of his friends wanted to learn piano after watching him play. This sparked his passion for teaching.
Joseph understands that each student has different goals, strengths, weaknesses, and interests; and develops each customized lesson plan for his students based on all of these factors. Because he believes students become better musicians when showing up as their authentic selves, he provides a high level of flexibility in his daily lesson planning.
He believes that learning how to play any instrument should be fun yet challenging. He pushes his students towards the potential he sees in them, but always brings excitement and enthusiasm into the classroom. Joseph is eager to bring his knowledge and energy to each and every student that walks into his classroom
