Monthly Policies
Scheduling:
Each student enrolled in this program shall receive up to 42 lessons per year commencing on the month you begin your membership of each year. The program will automatically renew at the end of the yearly cycle unless the program is canceled with at least a 30-day written notice prior to the next billing cycle. The program has 10-weeks built in for cancelations to allow for flexible scheduling. Since scheduling a lesson involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours, or one day’s notice, is required for rescheduling or canceling a lesson. Unless an agreement is reached with LRMC admin, a lesson canceled within the 24-hours’ notice period will count towards the 42-lesson program. Only one exception may be granted per term and will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Students who cancel their regular weekly time slot too often or miss three lessons in a row without communication to the LRMC team may lose their timeslot and need to switch to a different lesson program.
A lesson canceled within the 24-hours’ notice period will not be eligible for a makeup, credit, or refund.
Lessons shall be provided at a pre-determined weekly time slot (one lesson per week) reserved for the student for the entire year starting at the month of signup. Scheduling changes requested by the student/parent shall be submitted 2 weeks prior and are dependent on teacher availability.
Makeups:
If LRMC is provided 24 hours’ notice, a lesson missed for any reason will qualify for a make-up. The 24-hour cancelation notice is necessary because a time commitment is made to you by the teacher and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time. If LRMC is notified that a student has a prolonged illness involving hospitalization or confinement at home, full credit will be given for those lessons missed. Lessons are subject to teacher availability—in the event, a teacher is ill or has a professional engagement or LRMC is closed because of weather conditions, a substitute instructor will be scheduled or a make-up lesson will be provided. Makeup lessons must be scheduled within the 12-month cycle and cannot be rolled over to a new cycle once the previous one has ended. Makeup lessons are to be scheduled by contacting the admin team at LRMC through call/text/email. Scheduled make-up lessons that are canceled or missed by the student are not eligible to be re-scheduled.
Billing:
*Lessons will be automatically billed to your credit card on the 15th day of each month for the membership fees of the following month. The 12 installment payments for the membership program are equal to the total cost of the 42 lessons. If the student uses all 42 lessons before the end of the 12-month term A-La-Carte pricing will be offered for any lessons the student would like to attend until the cycle renews. In the event that all 42 lessons are used before the end of the cycle, monthly billing will continue. Any program accounting and attendance questions should be directed to the admin team at LRMC through text/email.
The goal of Long Ridge Music Center is to ensure that each student receives quality instruction and is satisfied with their musical instruction. In the event that a student or family wishes to discontinue lessons at any time, enrollment in this program may be terminated by providing written, advance notice, 30 days prior to the next billing date. There are no refunds for unused lessons. In the event that lessons are discontinued prior to the end of the 12-month cycle, attendance and amounts paid will be calculated and prorated to our current semester pricing.
