Shaylen Harger is thrilled to bring her background of performance to the Long Ridge Music Center as a Voice and Piano teacher. Growing up in a family of professional entertainers, Shaylen was immersed in the world of music and theater from an early age. She began her public singing career at just five years old and has continued to develop her craft for performance ever since.

A proud graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Shaylen has honed her skills through diverse professional experiences. Previous career highlights include, working at A Contemporary Theatre of Ridgefield CT in shows such as, Kinky Boots (Ensemble/Lauren U.S.), Rock of Ages (Regina), Godspell (Mary Magdalene/Female Swing). She has also worked for Connecticut Repertory Theatre in Jesus Christ Superstar (Ensemble) and Mama Mia (Ensemble).

Her most recent achievements were two Japan national tours with Disney On Classic where she sang with a 65 to 80-piece Japanese orchestra. She’s also recently made her national television debut on FOX TV’s I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE as a finalist—a testament to her versatile talents. Now, she is building quite the following on her social media platforms performing songs covering many genres. You can find most of her performances on her Youtube channel (47k+) or on IG and TikTok.
In addition to her background in performance, Shay has training in piano and guitar, which complements her vocal diversity and expertise. With a blend of warmth, silliness, and professionalism, Shaylen is excited to create a safe and fun environment for students to build their confidence and discover their unique sound.
