POLICIES

ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE per family is $35.00. Checks made payable to Long Ridge Music Center. A completed registration form with all applicable fees must be submitted before lessons are scheduled. Please note: Because LRMC provides lessons for both public and private school students; we are unable to adhere to a specific school calendar.

For semester registrants, each student is entitled to one (1) make-up lesson per term. If LRMC is provided 24-hours notice, a lesson missed for any reason will qualify for a make-up. If LRMC is notified that a student has a prolonged illness involving hospitalization or confinement at home, full credit will be given for those lessons missed.  Lessons are subject to teacher availability—in the event a teacher is ill or has a professional engagement or LRMC is closed because of weather conditions, a substitute instructor will be scheduled or the lesson will occur during the make-up week at the end of the term. Scheduled make-up lessons that are cancelled or missed by the student are not eligible to be re-scheduled.

The goal of Long Ridge Music Center is to ensure that each student receives quality instruction and is satisfied with their musical instruction. In the event that a student or family wishes to discontinue lessons during a term, a refund of 50% of the remaining lessons will be issued by LRMC.

LRMC policies and monthly program overview:

Each student enrolled in this program shall receive up to 42 lessons per year with up to 10 weeks vacation time off provided in addition to 4 make up lessons.
Lessons shall be provided at a pre-determined weekly time slot (one lesson per week) reserved for the student throughout each semester. Time slots shall be reserved for student through the fall, winter and spring semesters, unless otherwise requested by student/parent, or, as necessitates by LRMC’s operational needs. Scheduling changes requested by student shall be submitted 4 weeks prior to the start of the new semester to receive full priority.

The 10 weeks vacation time can be taken at any time either consecutively, such as during the summer, or divided as per the students needs and with flexible dates.
For example, a student may take 6 weeks vacation time over the summer, plus two weeks vacation time during the late December/New Year holiday season, a week vacation during winter break and another week vacation during spring break.

Students enrolling in this program shall also receive greater flexibility regarding missed lessons with four make up lessons available for rescheduling  and subject to our standard make up lessons policy.
Should students like to take more than 42 lessons per year, these will be available either during the student's regular weekly time slot or by coordination with our office..

Lessons taken during the summer semester may have different day/time slots with enrolled students enjoying scheduling priorities as LRMC’s operational needs permit, with the previous spring semester reserved time slot remaining secured for the following fall semester and beyond as long as enrollment is continued in this program.

Students enrolling in this program shall also receive greater flexibility regarding missed lessons.
