Why do we carefully select our music teachers?
The selection of a music teacher is important to success in music lessons and student enjoyment. Our music instructors are qualified and experienced, but utilize different approaches to increase fun, creativity and music lessons benefit.  The interaction of student and teacher is important and so, under the direction of our music school, each student is carefully matched with the right teacher.

Is one musical genre in Long Ridge Music Center favored over others?
Music is Fun, no matter what instrument or musical genre you prefer! At Long Ridge Music Center, we teach classical music lessons, Jazz, Rock, Broadway tunes, Popular music and virtually any other musical niche you might be interested in!
The depth and breadth of our music teachers allows us to bring students versatile musical lessons.

Is music lesson environment important?
Yes. Creating the right environment is important to increase enthusiasm in music students of all ages.  In order to maximize enjoyment, our studios are spacious, with most featuring large windows overlooking a beautiful pond. Increasing concentration is important to get the most benefit from any music lesson, and so our music rooms are specially constructed with sound isolating materials, specialized doors and soundproof viewing glass, allowing for private, one on one lessons to be conducted in the most efficient and secure way.
For piano lessons, dedicated  teaching studios are furnished with quality grand pianos so that students may develop the right control of tone and touch as they progress in their lessons.
